Do you find it hard to start a new project? If so, you are going to love these mindset strategies, as your mindset has everything to do with what you start… and what you don’t.
Take a look at these five strategies: by identifying those that have been holding you back up to now, you will already powerfully kick-start something new in yourself, and in your life, career or business.
Mindset Gear #1
=> STOP waiting for a sign.
Sometimes before starting something or embarking on a new project, you might wait for a sign. I do strongly believe that our world is full of signs, AND I also know that we interpret these signs to align with our inner thoughts and beliefs. Indeed, you give the meaning to the signs you receive. So, stop waiting for a sign: your moment is now for you to embark on.
Mindset Gear #2
=> START initiating momentum.
Momentum is a great phenomenon to help you go from one project to another, but what happens at the beginning of your very first project? It is up to you to get the ball rolling. One of Newton’s laws of motion says that an object, which is moving, will continue to move. So, start initiating momentum: your actions are driving it.
Mindset Gear #3
=> START adding a date.
When you think of all of the projects you have in mind, it can sometimes feel vague and dreamy. Your dream needs to be framed, from “One day, I’ll complete this < insert project >” to “By September 30th, 2014, I’ll have successfully completed this < insert project >”. So, start adding a date: your date will make your project more tangible.
Mindset Gear #4
=> STOP living in fear.
Fear can be a powerful block to you starting something. You might be fearful of failing, of not knowing what will come up next, of succeeding, of what people will think, etc… It is normal to have fear when you aim at BIG things: don’t let these fear moments control your decisions. So, stop living in fear: you can breakthrough what is holding you back.

Mindset Gear #5
=> START focusing on the first step.
Starting a new project can often seem daunting as you think of all of the things the project requires. What’s key to keep in mind is that a general sense of overwhelm is entirely normal, and it can easily be overcome by focusing onto that one first step. So, start focusing on the first step: you do not need to know the whole plan to start.
Get yourself into gear by applying each of these 5 strategies:
=> STOP waiting for a sign.
=> START initiating momentum.
=> START adding a date.
=> STOP living in fear.
=> START focusing on the first step.
Next, we make it happen…
Think of a new project you have yet to start, that one that has been in your mind for a long time, come on, you know the one…! Got it?
Let’s run it through these strategies, as you go from gear to gear.
You are here, Gear #1: This is it, this is YOUR sign, for your project to start right here, right now. Shift to #2: Ask yourself, what do you need to do to get the ball rolling on this project? Get an action. Shift to #3: By when do you want to have successfully completed this project? Get a date. Shift to #4: Face your fear, and move forward anyway, focus on that amazing feeling you will have when the project is completed. Shift to #5: Take action on that first action (the one you got as you were in 2nd gear!).
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, You are raring!!!
What do you think? I’d love to hear from you! Which project have you now started?
